Zipping Falcon overcame an awkward box four draw to be easily last Saturday's most impressive Wentworth Park winner and from box one the Jason Magri-trained dog stands out as this week's best bet at headquarters.
Undefeated in two starts wearing the red rug, Zipping Falcon will contest the WP On Facebook Stakes, a 520m fourth grade, and he has come up with a "dream'' draw.
Not only does he have box one, but the greyhounds drawn alongside him, including main danger Metallic Flash in box four, race away from the rails or in the middle of the track.
Last Saturday Zipping Falcon dwelt at the start from box four but despite colliding heavily soon after, went from fifth at the catching pen to sustain a long rails run before hitting the front on the home turn.
He drew away to win by a length from Veloce Nero, stopping the clock at a slick 29.96sec.
Veloce Nero (pictured) also struck trouble in that race, as she was badly checked at the first turn while attempting to reach the rails from her box eight draw.
Veloce Nero has drawn more suitably on Saturday night and will exit box two in the Ladbrokes Cash Out Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
Melinda Finn, whose husband John trains Veloce Nero and her litter brother Blue Moon Rising, said: "John wanted to nominate our two greyhounds for 720m races on Saturday but there were not enough entries to warrant a long distance race being programmed.
"Rather than leave them home in the kennel, John put them in 520m races and although they are better over longer journeys they are capable of winning.
"Veloce Nero especially has a great chance because she wants the fence and has drawn close to the inside.
"Blue Moon Rising is racing really well but he just can't draw a box.
"He has drawn six in the 520m Free-For-All but he has only six rivals so given a clear run he is capable of coming from behind and winning.''
Smart provincial sprinters Bland Purr, Embossed and Famous Lee, all trained by Jodie Lord, make their first Wentworth Park appearances on Saturday night.
Bland Purr and Embossed have drawn boxes one and four respectively in the 520m Ladbrokes Info Hub Stakes while Famous Lee will wear red in the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Stakes over the same trip.
Bland Purr has won three from seven starts while Embossed has scored in four of nine outings.
Lord said: "Bland Purr is a bit quicker than Embossed so from his favourable draw I expect him to finish ahead of his kennelmate.
"Famous Lee has a good draw but has never seen the track and does lack early speed.
"I think middle distance racing might be his hope for the future but from box one he could still get away with this race.''
Famous Lee has won three of 11 races and could get a smooth passage to the first turn courtesy of the wide running Prince Fabloch, who has drawn outside him in box two.
Lord has a strong representation on Saturday and gives Cawbourne Madox, a last start Wentworth Park winner, a good show in the fourth and fifth grade Duke's Ladbrokes Previews Stakes, 520m.
Cawbourne Madox led all the way from box four to win against identical class in a smart 29.99 at Wentworth Park on December 8 and has drawn nicely in box two.
"I have a high opinion of Cawbourne Madox, he is still learning what it is all about but he is a good young dog,'' Lord said.
