Participants are reminded that nominations for the Group 1 Centrebet Paws of Thunder and Group 2 AAA Radiator Specialists Summer Distance Plate, close on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 9am with GRNSW.

The Centrebet Paws of Thunder, two weeks event, is open to the Best 64 greyhounds nominated plus reserves.

The following Order of Entry shall apply in order to determine the best 64 nominations plus reserves:
1. Winners of Group 1 event or a Group 2 event of not less than 450m and not more than 595m in the 12 months prior to close of nominations.

2. Winner of 2012 Group 3, AAA Radiator Specialists Christmas Gift, conducted at Wentworth Park.

3. Official winners of a Paws of Thunder Prelude (including dead-heats) will be granted Priority Entry, if nominated and eligible to race.

4. The balance of the best 64 nominations will be determined by top down grading principle and the point score system as defined by the GRNSW TAB Grading Policy.

Heat and field composition determined by blind draw. Guarding for owners and trainers applies to heats where possible.

In the event of less than 64 nominations being received, NSW GBOTA and GRNSW reserve the right to reduce the number of heats to be conducted.

Final on January 19 is worth $100,000 to the winner.

While, the AAA Radiator Specialists Summer Distance Plate, is open to the Best 16 greyhounds nominated. Best 16 greyhounds plus reserves as determined under the guidelines within the GRNSW TAB Grading Policy.

Priority entry will be given to greyhounds that have won a Group event of not less than 595m in the 12 months prior to close of nominations.

Remaining balance of heats determined under the guidelines of the GRNSW TAB Grading Policy. Heat and field composition determined by blind draw. Guarding for owners and trainers applies to heats where possible.

In the event of less than 16 nominations being received, NSW GBOTA and GRNSW reserve the right to reduce the number of heats to be conducted.

Final on January 19 is worth $40,000 to the winner.
