Kennel Operations Staff
The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers’ Association is seeking applications for various Race Night Casual Kennel Operations Staff positions at Wentworth Park operations in Glebe (Sydney).
The NSW GBOTA Race Night Casual Kennel Operations Staff are critical first point of contact for participants. Positions include a range of race duties including greyhound identification, gate operations, welfare checks and other duties.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience or ability in the following key performance expectations:
- High levels of Customer Service experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Ability to follow procedures and direction
- Understanding of the importance of procedures and policies
Ideally, applicants will have an interest in racing, with willingness to learn different roles. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 4.00 – 11.45pm on a selection of Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays across the year.
Some positions require working with greyhounds and lifting and therefore any applicant should be physically fit and capable. There is also a strong focus on careful observation, understanding of animal welfare considerations and the importance of a strong security process.
Staff remuneration is in accordance with Racing Clubs Events Award 2010, and would be discussed at the time of employment. There may be the requirement for some positions to provide a criminal history check. Positions are on a roster basis as required.
