The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association, on Saturday night, January 19, recognised the significant achievements of our racing community.
The night saw both the Association Greyhound of the Year and Track Star Awards presented.
The NSW GBOTA GOTY runs through the Association's Branch network and rewards the combination of on track performance and membership engagement.
Winners were:
Members Greyhound of the year: Sunburnt Highway Trainer Judith Richardson from the Wollongong Branch. Breeding Oaks Road X Where’s Kitty, receiving points: Metro 195 TAB B-C 97 TOTAL 292
Metropolitan Members Greyhound of the year: Seb Zarr Moonie Trainer Bill Dance from the City- Parramatta Branch. Breeder Kataerina Miller from the Orange Branch. Breeding Fabregas x Midnight Zarr, receiving points: Break down Metro 205
TAB Members Greyhound of the year: Superfast Love Trainer Ruth Matic from the Auburn-Lidcombe Branch. Breeder Harry Markou from the Wollongong Branch. Breeding Fernando Bale x Future Love, receiving points: Break down TAB B 111 TAB C 40 TOTAL 151
Members Country Greyhound of the year: Faith in Thee Trainer Scott Farley from the Muswellbrook Branch.Breeding Goodesy x Gramp’s Gift, receiving points Break down Country 58
In addition, the NSW GBOTA award the 2018 Track Star Awards which rewards both NSW GBOTA and non GBOTA members. A total of $26,500 in rewards was provided, with winners being:
