2013 AGRA National Distance Champion, Smart Valentino, will headline Saturday night’s (September 7) Group 3 Chairman’s Cup (720m) heats at Wentworth Park.

Winning the $75,000 Distance Championship title at The Meadows back on August 24, the Mark Swift prepared runner had a weekend off, to freshen up for the headquarters assignment.

Smart Valentino has drawn box three is the second of the two feature qualifiers, meeting in form Cawbourne Looney, as well as renowned stayers Proven Impala, Maddison Dee and Hotwire.

Fresh off his 520m starts, Mark Gatt prepared Gradence also returns to the staying journey for the $25,000 to the winner series.

Tasmanian star Bell Haven also makes a return to Wentworth Park on Saturday night, headlining the opening heat.

Drawing box one Bell Haven is looking to secure her fourth Group 3 title at the Glebe circuit.

The Apple isle star meets impressive up and comers Little Grey, Lucy Wires and Diamond Lucy.

First race is at 7.28pm, with plenty of excitement expected at Wentworth Park on election day.
