Renowned group race performers proved too good in the Bob Payne Spring Sprint (520m) heats at Wentworth Park on Saturday night (September 21).

The $40,000 to the winner event saw a host of sensational runs, including that of Peter Hunt prepared Gold Town which clocked 29.64 in his 3 ½ length victory over Desalle Bale.

Other heat winners included Gold Town’s kennelmate Cracker Jack Lil (29.88), Zipping Willow (29.71), and Peter Lagogiane prepared Lucks Changed.

With four qualifiers from both NSW and Victoria, next Saturday’s, September 28, the Group 2 final has again resulted in a sensational show down.
