Zipping Willow added another career Group 3 title to her impressive resume on Saturday night (May 3) when she won the Alan Evans & Son Jewellers Ladies Bracelet at Wentworth Park.

Stopping the clock at a sensational 29.44, Zipping Willow matched early motors with race favourite Ritza Hattie before picking up the lead at the home turn.

Scoring by 1 ¾ lengths, trainer Jason Mackay said after the race, that the win was an absolute thrill for all involved.

“I am wrapped with how she has gone,” Mackay said.

The owners, Marty & Fiona Hallinan put so much in to the sport with the help of their boys, it’s great for all involved.

“A big thanks also to Alan Evans and his family, without which we wouldn’t have this race and we need more sponsors like them,” Mackay added.

Mackay is expected to bypass the Sapphire Crown at Sandown, and rather start in the Richmond Oaks series in coming weeks.

Also on the card, Evelyn Harris’ Magic Display bounced back to form winning the night’s Free For All event in 29.71. Leading all the way, a thrilled Evelyn indicated that her kennel star was next bound for Melbourne for a tilt at the Sapphire Crown series
