Space Star continued his form as Australia's top stayer, taking out the Group 3 Gold Cup at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

The Robert Britton prepared chaser jumped well from box four, and was able to pick up the lead in early stages and dominate the field, scoring by 10 lengths over Mullaway and Zipping Felix who both finished strongly to fill the minor placings.

Speaking after the race, owner Michael Ivers said Space Star continued to be a thrill to be a part of and while he was always going to be something special, Robert Britton's mentoring has seen the son Bekim Bale x Tonto Tears flourish.
