Central West based trainer, Keith Selten experienced his greatest thrill to date in greyhound racing when Morgan Brothers won the second John Stollery Memorial Christmas Gift heat at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

Morgan Brother's 30.26 victory gave Blayney based kennel their first Group 3 Wentworth Park finalist, with connections over the moon with the result. An ecstatic Selten was seen bouncing and cheering behind the 520m start rounding the home turn as his runner claimed a 1 3/4 length victory over Stench Of Power.

In a big night of racing and upsets, the opening heat of the Group 3 Christmas Gift was the only qualifiers to see the race favourite to qualify for next Saturday's $25,000 to the winner event. Knight Sprite was moderately away, but strong field sense saw the runner get through to run away and clock 30.05 winning by over five lengths.

The third heat was taken out by La Grand Logie in 29.90 over Let It Develop, leading all the way in a strongly contested event. While in the final heat Leeroy Roller for Jeff & Jane Crawford beat home Myrniong Plow, winning in 29.92.

Also on Saturday's program there was the running of the Group 3 Summer Cup, worth $25,000 to the winner.

First away was recent Sydney Cup winner Ada Mary, leading over Shoulders and It's A Bird in the early stages. Doing enough in front, Ada Mary withheld a last challenge from Zipping Echo and Serena Nimbus who finished in second and third positions.

Speaking after the race, owner Jason Bolwell said it was a thrill and a credit to Sharon and Tony Grey who continue to travel and do great work with Ada Mary.
