Victorian trainers dominated last nights Group One Association Cup heats over 720m, winning all three heats, with some impressive times recorded.

Joe Borg’s Come On Fantasy ($5.50 pre-post with Ladbrokes.com.au) was the fastest heat winner, sizzling along in a time of 41.92.

The son of Premier Fantasy and Come On Luann stepped beautifully from box two and lead all the way, saluting by a sensational winning margin of seven and a half lengths.

Toolleen trainer Mark Giddings caused a stunning upset in heat one with Lioness Lulu, paying $34.00 at Ladbrokes.com.au. Getting into a perfect position mid-race, the daughter of Big Daddy Cool and Jackie's Capri, swept past the early leader to score by four and three quarter lengths, clocking a speedy time of 42.09.

Favourite backers were finally rewarded in the final heat, after Jeff Britton’s Dublin Bull ($3.10) took the lead entering the home straight on the first occasion, streaking away to salute by five and a quarter lengths in a solid time of 42.26.

Britton was delighted with the result after Star Recall unfortunately broke down in heat one.

“He went a lot better after a couple of bad runs at The Meadows."

“I’d rather be drawn inside and he’s going to have to come out a bit better than what he did last night and come out and lead,” Britton added.

Next Saturday nights final winner will receive $75,000 in prizemoney.
