Anthony Azzopardi's Zipping Malfoy backed up his Group 1 Bold Trease win with a resounding Schweppes Summer Cup heat win at Wentworth Park over the 720 metres tonight (November 26).

Connections of Zipping Malfoy pocketed a cool $75,000 for the victory at Sandown Park on November 17, though despite the victory the greyhound still started on the third line of betting. 

Winning by 1 1/2 lengths over New Zealander Thrilling Quest, Zipping Malfoy will have to better his 42.31 victory if he is to defeat littermate Zipping Lad, which has drawn the favourable red alley in the final. 

Fellow son of Malfoy x Or Catra, Zipping Lad was impressive in his all the way victory, holding out a late challenge from Thrilling Brat.

The fastest qualifier (42.27) started equal favourite with Thrilling Brat which recorded it's first Wentworth Park victory a week earlier in a swift 42.15.

The heats results point to a sensational final on Saturday December 3, which an array of chances in the $25,000 to the winner event.

Saturday's final will be supprted by the running of the Centrebet Bill Baker Bull 'n' Barley Final worth $8,000 to the winner, plus oncourse promotions including 2 limited edition event $10 cocktails thanks to Schweppes.
