Following three heats of the Group 3 Tedesco Menswear Chairman’s Cup (720m) next Saturday night’s (September 15) final line up was determined trackside at Wentworth Park.

Tonight’s opening heat went the way of Ron Bell’s Hot Buzzard, which lunged on the line to pip odds on favourite Irma Bale. Hot Buzzard which posted a personal best of 42.30 managed to secure victory over the National Distance Championship runner after spotting the early leader up to six lengths mid race.

Heat two managed to unfold similar to the first, however this time it was up and coming stayer Dusty Valley for Anne Foley which set the early pace. After missing the start Switch Up had to work through the field winning by just a nose in an impressive run. Switch Up for trainer Frank Daros has again drawn box six in the final.

With two impressive heats already on the board, the final heat did not leave favourite punters disappointed, with He Knows Uno returning to Wentworth Park in impressive fashion. Managing to get to the front the first time past the post, He Knows Uno ran away with an emphatic seven length victory over Thrilling Frank and Dusty Dave in 42.09. The personal best time for the Michael Patterson prepared greyhound places in him in prime position to claim next week’s $25,000 to the winner final.
